On Tuesday, the legendary comedian announced that he was planning to tour the country in 2018.
Chappell said that he had previously signed with tour partner Dave Choe, but it was only because he needed to be away from his wife, who is battling cancer.
“We’ve been looking forward to this tour,” Chappel said.
“It’s very exciting, very exciting to do.
It’s going to be great to see all the different places that Dave Chapee has played.
I love this country.”
In an interview with WGN, Chappella said that the show was “just like a trip to New Orleans.”
“I love New Orleans,” he said.
“[It] is just like a big family, and it’s like family.”
The tour will kick off in February 2018.
