This story is a little more than a couple of years old but, for me, it was still very fresh in my mind and I wanted to tell it as if it happened in real life.
I was looking forward to sharing it with you, but I’m sorry to say that Jack didn’t have a date on hand at the time, but he did have a companion on his first date.
So here’s how it happened.
A lot of people don’t know that Jack Johnson started out as a stagehand in the 1920s.
In fact, he used to be a stage performer before becoming a real estate agent.
He began working for the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATAO) in 1927.
In 1932, he became the head of the NATAO, which was based in Philadelphia.
In the late 1930s, he was part of a delegation that visited the United States to help negotiate a peace deal with the Axis powers.
He became an ambassador to China, and after that, he worked for the World Trade Organization (WTO).
In 1939, Jack Johnson became the first person to go on a tour of Europe and the US.
He was the first to be in New York City on a commercial tour.

After his tour, Jack went on to become a realtor, a radio broadcaster, a newspaper columnist, a director of public relations for the city of New York, and a writer.
He wrote two novels, One Hundred and Forty-Nine and The Adventures of Jack Johnson and was a producer of the film Jack Johnson.
When he retired from the business in 1961, he left a legacy for the world of entertainment.
