“It was a fabulous day.
I am so lucky to be invited to be part of the tour of the world’s most beautiful, historic buildings.
It was the biggest thing I have ever been invited to do and the most memorable event in my life.
It’s been a very interesting trip.”
Morgan Wallen, who won the Tour de France in 2005, is one of the greats of the sport, but he’s rarely given the spotlight on tour.
Instead, his wife Kristin has been the main attraction, appearing on the covers of magazines, appearing in movies and even appearing in a TV commercial for a hotel.
Morgan has been at the centre of some of the most successful events in the history of the Tour.
He won the 2009 Tour de Suisse, followed by two more Tours in 2011 and 2012.
Morgan’s biggest success came when he finished the 2012 Vuelta a Espana on the back of a stage win, when he was joined by compatriot Peter Sagan.
It became known as the Wallen-Sagan-Sauber-Sachsen victory, with Sagan’s second place helping secure the team’s first ever Tour victory.
Morgan is currently on a five-day tour of Asia, starting in Taiwan.
