LONDON — Jack Daniels has announced a tour of Britain and the United States as part of his return to the world stage after the death of the late actor.
The actor, a Brit who died in 2011 at age 56, will play a concert in London on March 15, at the same venue he performed at during his last tour, which was in 2014.
Daniels was born in New York in 1947, the son of the producer and songwriter James Daniels, who was a fan of his music.
Daniens’ final album, “Lucky Man,” was released in 2015.
He also starred in the film “Breathless,” which he co-wrote.
He won two Oscars in 1996 for “Swingin’ In The Wind” and the 2002 film “Gods of Egypt.”
Danies has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump.
On Monday, the actor told the British news magazine The Sunday Times he felt his character, played by Jack Huston, was being unfairly treated because of the President’s decision to fire FBI Director James Comey.
In a Twitter post, Daniels said he hoped the event would spark debate about Trump’s policies and decisions, and to promote a positive attitude to politics.
It’s an important time in the U.S. politics to have a conversation about the policies that the President is implementing, including the appointment of new FBI Director (and ex-FBI agent) James Comey, Daniels tweeted.
“I hope this event will generate a discussion about the President and his policies,” he added.
“And I hope the event can encourage the people of the U,S.
to be critical of his policies.”DANIELS’ DEBUT TOUR ON BOSTON’S PGA TOUR DANIES’ NEW RECORD: Jack Daniels: I Wish I Wasn’t So Badly Shot (In The Movies) Jack Daniels on his new record: “I Wish I Weren’t so Badly…”
